Not ideal but I had some shoes made at Brodequin's, Teignmouth. They are about eight years old and have been resoled once. They are made of a fabric called Lorica "Lorica® . . . made by processing very fine microfibres which allows the material to breathe whilst still being water resistant. Lorica is durable and lightweight.". It is manufactured with a texture resembling leather on the outside and suede on the inside. Although Lorica is made in many colours only a few were available.
