For the last few years I have been using Ted Baker's underpants as they were the only organic ones made in Europe and thereby 'fairly traded'.
Since Ted's hands on his female employees has come to light I've though about it like this.
a) If I support Ted's brand I'm supporting his actions to some degree in it's entirety.
b) The only other options I had found on the high street were organic made in the Far East.
c) The logic goes that there is more abuse in the Far East that here in the UK and the victims of abuse here have a better option to relieve them selves of unwarranted attention.
d) So I'm staying with Ted.
Then the issue changed. In looking for new pants I noted that a) their is no 3-packs of coloured pants at £35 only black an white. Then I discovered a few odd gift packs only to find they are made in China. So good bye Ted
The next option was to use the internet to search for alternatives, two of which were provided by my daughter. The issue here is that I don't like the, again, black and grey and white options. Further I'm not sure about the quality.
The one I found myself is Bluebuck. I won't bore you with the details as you can use the link. The only downside I found was that the cotton was grown in Turkey, a country I would rather not support
